Current versions of Cubase are feature rich with much improved cpu effiency on the Mac platform. Great DAW in many respects but it's not intended as a notation program like other DAW. I think DP has a very sharp, professional looking GUI. Logic always has been incredibly efficient and energy efficient per the macOS Activity Monitor Spend time looking over threads on this forum and you'll quickly notice how multilingual (fluent in the use of more than one DAW) the membership is.īut unless you have paying customers that use various DAWs, there's no compelling reason to change DAW or use multiple DAW in your personal work, unless of course you like to explore how other DAW work. How does Cubase work within these areas compared to Logic? As far as plugins and software instruments go, I assume Logic and Cubase are on equal terms, but is also CPU optimization and overall performance the same?Īny insight or advice would be very much appreciated, thanks!Ĭlick to expand. So, there's an exhileration in trying a new DAW. Logic's score view is rather dumb and simplistic in how it handles counterpoint and multiple voices within one stave, accidentals, and separating notes between the left and right hand in keyboard voices.
